Shaoxing Central Hospital, a Class III and B general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, first aid, prevention and health care. It formerly known as the Second Rehabilitation Hospital of Zhejiang Province, was founded in June 1951. In 1958, it was renamed the Fourth Shaoxing Hospital. In June 2008, it was renamed Shaoxing County Central Hospital after resources integration with private Shaoxing Huayu Hospital. In 2014 it was renamed Shaoxing Central Hospital for the withdrawal of counties and districts.
The general hospital covers an area of 60,000 square meters with 1000 open beds. The hospital has beautiful environment, advanced facilities, complete disciplines and strong technical force. It has 40 clinical departments, 13 medical technology departments, 1 academician expert workstation, 17 provincial, municipal and district key disciplines. The total number of employees is nearly 2000, including 418 senior medical and technical personnel, 162 master and doctor. With advanced equipment and strong technical force, the hospital routinely performs endoscopic surgery for various tumors in the brain, chest and abdomen, urinary system and gynecology, arthroscopic and total hip replacement, stereoscopic puncture for cerebral hemorrhage, and eye, ear, nose and throat, oral surgery, etc. As well as cardio-cerebrovascular interventional therapy and pacemaker implantation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), trachea and digestive tract endoscopy, liver and kidney puncture and other operation techniques.
